About Angela Nehmens

Angela Nehmens focuses on complex civil litigation at Estey & Bomberger, representing survivors of sexual assault, sexual abuse, and sexual harassment. She represents hundreds of clients sexually assaulted by rideshare drivers and was appointed by the court as liaison counsel in the coordinated proceeding against Lyft, Inc. (JCCP 5061) in San Francisco Superior Court. She also represents survivors of childhood sexual abuse against individual offenders and the institutions that harbor them. Angela has litigated against corporate defendants including JUUL, Samsung, and LG, and successfully defeated a personal jurisdiction challenge in the JUUL coordinated proceeding (JCCP 5052).

In addition to trial work, she has briefed and argued appeals, securing favorable opinions from the Eighth Circuit, Texas Courts of Appeal, and most recently the Texas Supreme Court, which found jurisdiction appropriate over a Korean company. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and her J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law, where she served as continuity editor for the Journal of Health and Biomedical Law. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and by the National Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 Under 40 in California. She does pro bono work with the Family Violence Appellate Project.
