About Michael Ponce

Michael D. Ponce founded Ponce Law in 1994 and serves as its managing attorney and senior litigator. He grew up in Portland, Tennessee, earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University in Boston, and graduated cum laude from Tulane University Law School with an environmental law specialization. He clerked for the Honorable Judge John Wisdom of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit before opening his own practice.

Ponce holds board certifications as both a Civil Trial Specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has been selected to Tennessee Super Lawyers in 2007 and from 2020 through 2026, holds an Avvo Superb rating and the Martindale-Hubbell Platinum Client Champion designation, and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. His practice focuses on personal injury cases involving car and truck accidents, motorcycle crashes, wrongful death, workers compensation, and nursing home negligence.
