Ben Raybin

Ben Raybin, a Nashville native, has practiced with Raybin & Weissman his entire legal career since graduating from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2010, where he was a member of the Law Review. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago in 2007. From 2011 to 2012, he clerked for Judges Jane B. Stranch and Gilbert S. Merritt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He practices primarily in criminal defense, civil rights, general civil litigation, and appeals, and has briefed and argued cases before the Tennessee Supreme Court, the Sixth Circuit, the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, and the Tennessee Court of Appeals.

He currently serves as First Vice President of the Nashville Bar Association (2026) and on the hearing committee for the Board of Professional Responsibility. He received the Justice Joe Henry Award for Outstanding Legal Writing in 2017, and has been named to Best Lawyers in America (2026) and Super Lawyers (2021 to present). He coaches the University School of Nashville high school mock trial team, which won the state championship in 2024 and placed seventh in the nation.
