About Ben Long

Ben Long grew up in Marion, Iowa. He began his legal career representing insurance companies in defense work, but found he could not reconcile those clients' interests with his own values and switched to representing injured Iowans. He joined RSH Legal as an associate in 2014 and became a partner in 2024.

His cases have required him to study complex subjects including surgical anatomy, semi-trailer wheel mechanics, and vehicle data recorders. He attended the University of Iowa College of Law, where he received the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for Outstanding Student in Trial Advocacy and won the Stephenson Trial Advocacy Competition in 2009. He and his wife Rebecca have been together since seventh grade.
