About Tim Semelroth

Tim Semelroth grew up in Hiawatha, Iowa, the son of a factory worker and a teacher. He represents working people because he understands what it means to face powerful institutions without legal knowledge or resources. He wrestled at 90 pounds in high school and says that experience shaped his perspective on fighting for those without power. At RSH Legal he focuses on car accidents, truck crashes, and wrongful death.

He is the only Iowa truck accident attorney board-certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in both Civil Trial Law (2012) and Trucking Accident Law (2019). He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law with High Distinction in 1997 and was a law clerk to Chief Magistrate Judge John Jarvey before becoming a partner at RSH Legal in 2001. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (inducted 2019) and a faculty member at the Trial Lawyers College. He is a past president of the Iowa Association for Justice and has been named to the Great Plains Super Lawyers list every year since 2014.
