Terry Hummel

Terry V. Hummel is a Trial Attorney and Head of Litigation at Schiff & Associates Co., LPA in Columbus, Ohio, with more than 40 years of personal injury litigation experience. Since graduating from law school in 1982, his practice has involved thousands of personal injury and wrongful-death claims in state and federal courts throughout Ohio and neighboring states, including Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

Hummel earned his Bachelor of Arts from Capital University in Bexley, where he coached the Varsity debate squad for two years while attending Capital University Law School at night, graduating in 1982.

He has handled a wide range of injury and death claims involving transportation (car, truck, motorcycle, train, airplane, bicycle, snowmobile, boat, personal watercraft); work and premises matters (homes, businesses, shopping malls, stores, construction sites, manufacturing plants, warehouses, loading docks); and medical and nursing claims (drug companies, medical devices, nursing homes).

He is an active member of the Central Ohio Association for Justice, the Ohio Association for Justice, the Columbus Bar Association, and the Ohio State Bar Association, and judges mock trials at Capital University Law School. Hummel lives in Blacklick, Ohio with his wife, Gail, and has been involved with Rotary for more than twenty years, serving on the Gahanna Rotary board.
