Ian Smith

Ian Smith is a personal injury attorney at Tatum & Atkinson in North Carolina. His practice focuses on personal injury and insurance law, helping injured victims and accident cases.

A Western North Carolina native, Smith earned his B.A. in Political Science with a German minor from Appalachian State University in 2016, and his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2020.

During law school, he participated in clinics assisting low-income citizens with driver's license restoration and domestic violence victims, interned with district attorneys' offices and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of North Carolina, and served as an editor for the North Carolina Journal of International Law.

He is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar and is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the North Carolina State Bar.
