Jon Ward

Jon Ward is a personal injury attorney at Tatum & Atkinson in North Carolina. With more than 16 years of litigation practice, his work covers personal injury, insurance bad faith, appellate practice, and general litigation matters.

Ward is a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Appellate Practice (2021).

Before practicing law, he worked as a property and casualty insurance adjuster and as a seventh-grade teacher.

He earned his B.A. with Phi Beta Kappa honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001 and his Juris Doctor with honors from the UNC School of Law in 2007.

He is admitted to the North Carolina (August 2007), Virginia (2016), and West Virginia (2017) state bars.

Ward is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, where he has authored amicus curiae briefs on insurance coverage matters. He authored a chapter on homeowner's coverage for a North Carolina insurance coverage book.
