About Manny Cabrera

Prior to joining The Lanier Law Firm, Mr. Cabrera served as an attorney at several defense firms in Houston representing commercial clients, including Fortune 500 companies, on general personal and catastrophic injury matters within trucking and premises liability cases. At The Lanier Law Firm, Mr. Cabrera is a law and motion attorney in the firm's asbestos practice in Houston , handling major motions and trial, pretrial, and post-trial briefing across the group's mesothelioma and asbestos exposure cases . Drawing on his years on the defense side, he brings an investigative curiosity to every matter, digging into the facts and the record so he can anticipate opposing arguments and answer them before they are raised. He is known for thorough research and for briefing built to leave no gap for the other side to exploit.

Colleagues rely on him as a dependable teammate to the firm's trial lawyers, and he works to understand each case inside and out, down to the details that decades-old exposure records can make hard to find. He also works closely with the firm's Spanish-speaking clients, communicating directly with them and their families and translating on matters beyond his own caseload. More recently, he has helped extend the group's work into silicosis litigation on behalf of individuals exposed to silica dust from engineered stone surfaces. He and his wife enjoy spending time
