Monica de la Caridad Melo

Monica de la Caridad Melo is a personal injury attorney at Wolfson & Leon in Florida. Her practice covers personal injury, first-party property insurance litigation, family law, immigration, and estate planning matters.

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Melo worked as a public school teacher for 14 years before pursuing law.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education magna cum laude from Florida International University in 2006, her Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Florida in 2011, and her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law in 2020. As a law student, she worked in the FIU Legal Clinic, helping low-income families access the legal system through family, guardianship, and Social Security cases.

She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2022.
