D. Patrick Huyett

Pat Huyett is a partner at Anapol Weiss whose practice is devoted to representing plaintiffs in class action, mass tort, and whistleblower cases. Pat became a plaintiffs' lawyer after working at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he defended large corporate defendants in high-stakes litigation and gained a deep understanding of the strategies that companies deploy in defending these cases. His current cases include actions against online platforms Roblox and Discord, with a complaint filed in February 2025 on behalf of a 13-year-old boy exploited through these platforms and a subsequent complaint filed in April 2025 on behalf of a minor in Florida. Pat's desire to represent plaintiffs stems from his time serving as an enforcement attorney at the Federal Trade Commission, the agency charged with protecting the nation's consumers and promoting competition.

While at the FTC, Pat worked extensively on the agency's case against Martin Shkreli and his companies, which alleged that the defendants drastically raised the price of a life-saving drug and prevented lower-priced generic drugs from entering the market through a multifaceted anticompetitive scheme. The district court in the Southern District of New York ultimately banned Shkreli for life from the pharmaceutical industry and found him liable for $64.6 million.
