Paul Ankin

Paul B. Ankin is Of Counsel at Ankin Law in Chicago and has practiced law for more than four decades. He is the father of firm founder Howard Ankin. He served in the United States Army as an Assistant Post Judge Advocate General at Sixth Army Headquarters, Presidio of San Francisco, California, before entering private practice.

He focuses on personal injury, workers' compensation, mass torts and class actions, and motor vehicle accident matters, and serves as general counsel for clients with office files dating back to the 1960s. He is recognized for his long-term, multigenerational client relationships and his advocacy against insurance company practices. In 2013 he and his wife donated the Lois and Paul Ankin Reception Center to UIC Law (formerly The John Marshall Law School).
