About Jessica MacMurtrie

Jessica MacMurtrie is an attorney at Armstrong Lee & Baker LLP in Houston, where she represents plaintiffs in personal injury cases. Born and raised in Sterling Heights, Michigan, Jessica later lived in Madrid, Spain, where she became fluent in Spanish, before moving to Houston in 2016.

Jessica earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Relations and Spanish Language & Literature from Oakland University. Before attending law school she worked as a Spanish teacher and advisor at St. John's School in Houston. She earned her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she was a Dean's List honoree and Dean's Merit Scholarship recipient, won CALI Awards in Agency & Partnership and Trends in ADR & Litigation Seminar, and competed on the Mock Trial Team.

During law school Jessica served as a law clerk at Armstrong Lee & Baker and completed a summer internship with the Harris County District Attorney's Office in the Crimes Against Children Division. She is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
