Barbara Blackmon has built her career around helping individuals, families, businesses, and organizations navigate important legal and financial decisions. After beginning her legal practice in Mississippi, she developed a reputation for combining legal knowledge with practical business insight gained through advanced education and real-world experience. Barbara Blackmon's legal career includes private practice, municipal representation, tax law, corporate counsel work, and governmental service. She has represented individuals, businesses, municipalities, nonprofit organizations, and major corporate clients throughout Mississippi.

Her experience includes both plaintiff and defense matters, giving her insight into a wide range of legal strategies and challenges. Barbara has served as City Attorney for the City of Canton, Carthage and Magnolia. She has served as County Attorney for Claiborne County, Attorney for the Claiborne County Medical Center, Attorney for the Claiborne County Port Commission, Attorney for Canton Municipal Utilities, Special Counsel for Hinds County and presently Special Counsel for the City of Rolling Fork. Her public service included serving 20 years in the Mississippi State Senate, where she worked on issues involving education, economic development, healthcare, and public policy.
