About Stephen Bruno

Over the last 40 years, Stephen P. Bruno has successfully handled over 5,000 cases and recovered over $100 million in verdicts and settlements for his clients. Although he has placed a special emphasis on maritime personal injury, he has used his trial skills to obtain successful judgments in a variety of civil cases, including successions, oil and gas, wrongful death, product liability, automobile accidents, premises liability, defamation, and slip-and-falls. He is a graduate of Tulane University (B.S., 1979) and Tulane Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1982). Stephen has lectured at seminars for the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association and has been recognized as a diplomat by the American Association for Justice in trial advocacy.

He is a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, and the New Orleans Bar Association, and is a past president of the St. Thomas More Catholic Lawyers Association. He has served as Custodian of the Notarial Records for the Parish of Orleans (1992-1996 and 2004-2009) and was responsible for initiating digital scanning of original acts to make them available online. Stephen is annually named one of the Top Lawyers in New Orleans and was recognized as a Leader in Law by New Orleans Magazine.
