Jay McDivitt

Jay M. McDivitt is an attorney at Cannon & Dunphy S.C. handling matters involving auto, motorcycle, and trucking accidents, slip and fall incidents, dog bites, and medical and nursing home malpractice.

McDivitt earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Marquette University Law School in 2021, where he made the Dean's List from 2017 through 2021 and participated in Moot Court, Law Review, and the Pro Bono Society (with High Honors). He published a comment in the Summer 2021 Marquette Law Review on judicial review in Wisconsin. Earlier, he earned a Master of Divinity from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago in 2006 and a Bachelor of Arts in Peace Studies magna cum laude from Luther College in 2001. Before entering law, he served as an ordained pastor for 15 years.

McDivitt has been an attorney at Cannon & Dunphy since 2021. He is admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He is a member of the Wisconsin Association for Justice.
