About Gabriell Sabalones

Gabriell Sabalones practices at the intersection of litigation and conflict resolution. Her litigation work covers criminal defense, juvenile delinquency, personal injury, civil rights, and landlord-tenant matters. Alongside her courtroom practice, she has built a focused conflict resolution practice encompassing mediation, conflict coaching, and organizational training. Gabriell holds dual mediation certifications, having completed a 40-hour foundational mediation training and a 40-hour training in transformative mediation, a model that prioritizes restoring communication and agency to parties, not just reaching a settlement.

She has applied these skills in landlord-tenant mediations, individual conflict coaching, and community dialogue initiatives. Currently, Gabriell serves as a conflict resolution consultant to Mormon Women for Ethical Government (MWEG), a national nonpartisan nonprofit, where she provides mediation, conflict coaching, and conflict resolution training on a contract basis. She welcomes similar engagements with nonprofits, civic institutions, and mission-driven organizations looking for skilled, sustained support in navigating conflict. Before entering private practice, Gabriell represented parents and youth in child welfare and juvenile defense cases.

Her background also includes studying conflict narratives at Hebrew University of Jerusalem, advanced negotiation training at Harvard, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Cultural Studies with emphases in Intercultural Peacebuilding and Communication. She holds a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration, and teaches negotiation and international diplomacy as an adjunct instructor for Brigham Young University’s Model United Nations program. Gabriell habla español.
