Howard Coker

Howard Coker is the founding partner and shareholder of Coker Law Personal Injury Lawyers in Jacksonville, Florida. Over a career spanning more than 45 years, he has tried over 350 jury trials to conclusion and handled thousands of mediated settlements, establishing one of the top records for results among Florida trial attorneys.

Coker earned his J.D. from the University of Florida in 1971 and his B.S. from the University of Florida in 1969. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by The Florida Bar and holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating.

His extensive list of accolades includes the Lawdragon Hall of Fame (2021), the Al J. Cone Lifetime Achievement Award from the Florida Justice Association (2009), the ABA-TIPS Award for Lifetime Pursuit of Justice (2011), and the Compassionate Gladiator Award from the Florida Justice Association (2016). He has been named a Florida Super Lawyer every year since the program's inception in 2006, consistently ranking in the Top 100. Outside of law, Coker has served as Chairman of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens Board and President of the Florida Conservation Association.
