John Cooper

John M. Cooper is a founding partner of Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers in Virginia, with over 35 years in personal injury law and litigation. His practice covers automobile accidents, truck accidents, railroad accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian injuries, catastrophic injuries, traumatic brain injury, premises liability, wrongful death, spinal injuries, bus accidents, boating accidents, construction accidents, and hit-and-run cases.

A Hampton Roads native, Cooper earned his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1985 with Phi Beta Kappa honors, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1988.

He is admitted to the Virginia State Bar (1988), the North Carolina Bar (2001), and the West Virginia Bar (2002).

Cooper is a member of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, the Virginia Beach Bar Association, the Norfolk & Portsmouth Bar Association, the Association of Rail Labor Attorneys, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the Brain Injury Association of Virginia, and is a Permanent Member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference.
