About Geoffrey Wells

Geoffrey S. Wells has obtained more than 250 multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements in complex cases. He secured a $36.1 million verdict for a child injured when a vehicle struck her while she was crossing to board a school bus. He was a lead plaintiff's counsel in the Santa Monica Farmers Market crash, which settled for over $26 million in total. He was also lead counsel in the Castillo v. DYK case, which combined for over $40 million in settlement and verdict. He served as President of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles in 2014 and is currently serving as President of the Consumer Attorneys of California.

He is an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and received ABOTA's Lee Wenzel Civility Award in 2019. He was named a 2025 Consumer Attorney Visionary by LA Times Studios. He received his B.A. from the University of Washington (1981) and his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law (1985). He joined GBW in 1992 after five years with a plaintiff's sole practitioner.
