About Jay Luchsinger
Jay R. Luchsinger is a partner and trial attorney at Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates with more than 35 years of practice. Before attending law school, Jay spent 15 years building skyscrapers, factories, and bridges across the Midwest as a structural ironworker and 35-year member of Ironworkers Local No. 1. He is also a U.S. Army veteran who used his GI Bill benefits to earn a master's degree in American history from the University of Wisconsin. Jay attended night school at The John Marshall Law School while working full time in construction, earning his J.D. in 1989. His firsthand experience as a tradesman gives him a distinct perspective on construction injury cases, and he has helped secure some of the largest jury verdicts in Illinois history on behalf of seriously injured workers and their families.
