About Marc Perper

Marc A. Perper has practiced at Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates since 1984, concentrating on workers' compensation and related areas of injury law. He joined the firm with a civil-rights background and has since built an extensive appellate record, arguing before the Illinois Supreme Court and Illinois Appellate Court in matters involving vocational rehabilitation, extraterritorial jurisdiction, penalties, earnings calculations, and the scope of arising-out-of-and-in-the-course-of employment. He also handles construction negligence, products liability, medical malpractice, and civil-rights cases in state and federal courts. He holds the Avvo Top Contributor Award and has been recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyer (2010-2016) and Best Lawyer in America (2016). He earned a B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago (1975), an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (1978), and a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law (1984).
