Adam Starr

Adam M. Starr is a partner at Jarve Granato Starr, LLC, licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney. He has litigated and tried cases in both state and federal court and has been selected to the New Jersey Super Lawyers list in the areas of General Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice. Before attending law school, Starr worked as a Certified Rehabilitation Nurse treating patients with serious orthopedic and neurological injuries, including brain and spinal cord trauma, and he continues to maintain his nursing license.

He devotes roughly 95 percent of his practice to litigation, with an emphasis on medical malpractice and other cases involving serious, complex injuries. He serves as a court-appointed arbitrator for several southern New Jersey counties, has been selected as a judge and mentor for national moot court competitions, is a member of the District IV Ethics Committee covering Camden and Gloucester Counties, and co-chairs the New Jersey Association for Justice's Medical Malpractice Committee for 2025-2026. His case results include a $45 million recovery in a medical malpractice case involving a misdiagnosis of injuries and a failure to follow child abuse reporting protocols, a $3.5 million crashworthiness settlement for a 17-year-old who suffered a spinal cord injury after being rear-ended by an intoxicated driver, a $1.25 million settlement for a man injured by the negligent use of a forklift, and a $650,000 settlement for a young man burned in an off-road incident.
