Ali Overby

Susan "Ali" Overby is a Partner at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, focusing on workers' compensation law. She joined the firm in 2015 and was named partner in 2024.

Overby earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology from the University of Virginia in 2008, where she was a Dean's List Scholar. She completed Meredith College's NC State Bar Approved Paralegal Certificate Program in 2009 before earning her Juris Doctor from Campbell University School of Law in 2014, where she received a partial merit scholarship.

She is admitted to the North Carolina Bar and is a Board Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Wake County Bar Association, and North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
