Leah Parady

Leah Parady is a Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation Attorney at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, with additional focus on veterans benefits matters. She joined the firm in 2024 after retiring from a distinguished 18-year career as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force, where her experience included medical planning for U.S. operations in Europe and serving as U.S. liaison to NATO. She retired due to combat-related PTSD and pursued law to help others facing difficult circumstances.

Parady earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of New Hampshire in 1993, her Master of Arts in Healthcare Administration from Webster University in 1995, and her Juris Doctor from Campbell University Norman A. Wiggins School of Law in 2021.

She is admitted to the North Carolina Bar and is a member of the NC Bar Association's Military and Veterans Division, the National Organization of Veterans Advocates, and the CAVC Bar Association. She has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Personal Injury Litigation and Workers' Compensation (2026).

Notable case work includes helping a young veteran with PTSD obtain disability benefits and helping the surviving spouse of a Vietnam veteran secure an increased disability rating and Dependency and Indemnity Compensation. She has been featured in the NCBA's NC Lawyer Magazine.
