Bettina Munson

Bettina E. Munson is an equity partner heading the Family Law Department at Lomurro Munson LLC, with more than 30 years of matrimonial experience. She was certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Matrimonial Law Attorney in 2003 and has been designated a New Jersey Super Lawyer each year since 2005. She successfully litigated the first U.S. case awarding a non-biological mother in a same-sex domestic partnership shared custody of children.

Her appellate work has produced published decisions in both family law and civil litigation, and she played an instrumental role in the seminal relocation case Baures v. Lewis before the New Jersey Supreme Court. She serves as an Early Settlement Panelist and co-chaired the Family Section of the Monmouth County Bar Association from 2011 through 2012. She is an advocate for mediation as an alternative to courtroom litigation in matrimonial matters.
