Jarrod Summey

Jarrod Summey is an attorney at Maginnis Howard, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. His practice focuses on medical malpractice, wrongful death, and personal injury cases.

Before joining Maginnis Howard, Summey worked as an insurance defense litigator and as an Assistant District Attorney, where he successfully tried numerous felony cases and oversaw hundreds of bench trials.

He earned his B.A. cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2009 and his Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2015. During law school, he was a founding student attorney of the Consumer Financial Transaction Clinic and received the Graduate Student Service Impact Award and the 3L Pro Bono Student of the Year Award.

He is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar (2015) and the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of North Carolina. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Mecklenburg County Bar Association.
