Hunt Willis

Hunt Willis grew up in the mountains of North Carolina. After earning his undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army, serving as a captain, intelligence officer, and veteran of the Iraq War. After leaving the Army, Hunt graduated cum laude from Campbell University School of Law, where he was Managing Editor of the Campbell Law Review and a member of the national moot court team. He served as an extern to the Honorable Rick Elmore of the North Carolina Court of Appeals, was inducted into the Order of Barristers upon graduation, and later received the Safran Moot Court Award for outstanding contribution to the school's appellate advocacy program.

Hunt's practice focuses on representing people harmed by others' negligence, including tractor-trailer and commercial vehicle collisions, car wrecks, defective and dangerous products, industrial explosions, fires, and other incidents involving serious injury or death. He regularly tries cases to verdict before juries across North Carolina in state and federal court. In 2014 alone, his trial team won jury verdicts of $3.35 million, $2.25 million, and $250,325.

He also has considerable experience representing seriously injured children. Effective January 1, 2023, Hunt became a shareholder of Martin & Jones. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2016 and a Best Lawyer in America since 2020, and was named among the Legal Elite in North Carolina by Business NC magazine.
