James Lindell

James Lindell is of counsel at Meshbesher and Spence, specializing in civil litigation on behalf of injured individuals. Before his legal career he served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army (1966-1969), worked in federal and state government management, served as a staff aide to Minnesota's governor, worked in construction, and was a smoke jumper for the U.S. Forest Service. He earned a B.A. from the University of Minnesota (1966), an M.A. from The American University in Washington, D.C. (1970), and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School (1977). He has been licensed in Minnesota since 1977 and admitted before the U.S. Supreme Court since 1984. Outside practice he is a private pilot (since 1985) and studies Russian and piano.
