Matthew Sakkas

Matthew Sakkas is Of Counsel at Neumann Law Group, a personal injury attorney with extensive litigation experience specializing in plaintiff representation across premises liability, construction accidents, and medical malpractice matters.

Sakkas earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School in 1991 and his undergraduate degree from Clark University in 1988, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with a year of study abroad at the London School of Economics. He is admitted to the New York State Bar (1992), the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

With over 30 years of experience, Sakkas has handled notable cases including Washington v. Montefiore Medical Center (2004, wrongful death), Barnett v. Port Authority of NY & NJ (2007, construction injury), and Felton v. Tourtoulis (2011, reinstated punitive damages in a drunk driving case). He served as a Trial Lawyers Care volunteer representing 9/11 victims.
