Steven Johnson

Steve Johnson is a native of South Dakota, born in Sioux Falls. He attended Augustana College, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1973, and received his J.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1976. He has been a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Trial Lawyers Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, where he has lectured during national meetings.

He served as president of the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association from 1987 to 1988 and was named South Dakota Trial Lawyer of the Year in 1990. Steve specializes in civil litigation, franchise litigation, and product liability, and has recovered more than $100 million for his clients. He and his wife, Becky, have five children, seven grandchildren, and two dogs.
