Maxwell Baker

Maxwell Baker is a personal injury attorney at Rutter Mills, LLP in Virginia. His practice covers personal injury law, maritime law, commercial trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, and domestic violence and sexual assault victim protection.

A Norfolk native, Baker began his legal career with Legal Aid of North Carolina, focusing on protecting domestic violence and sexual assault victims. He later joined Rutter Mills as a paralegal while obtaining his Virginia license, working on complex cases alongside firm partner Adam Lotkin.

He earned his B.S. in Political Science and Government from Ferrum College in 2018 and his Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law in 2020. During law school, he served as a Division III wrestling coach at Greensboro College for three years.

He is admitted to the North Carolina (licensed first) and Virginia state bars.

Baker is a former collegiate and high school wrestling champion and NCAA Academic All-American. He is an avid supermoto motorcycle rider and advocate for biker rights.
