About Jennifer Sclar
Jennifer is a partner in the firm's class action and complex litigation groups. She represents individuals, unions and municipalities in litigation involving consumer fraud, data privacy, environmental contamination, securities fraud and health care. Jennifer's goal is to make it costly for corporations to do the wrong thing. Jennifer leads the firm's class action seeking damages for firefighters in Connecticut who have been exposed to dangerous levels of PFAS chemicals as a result of wearing their turnout gear, and the municipalities that have purchased the contaminated gear.
Jennifer represents all Siri users in the state of Illinois in a suit alleging that Apple routinely collects biometric information and identifiers through its Siri app, in violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA). Before joining SGT, she was involved in class action litigations that resulted in over a billion dollars of recovery to banking customers, health insurance consumers, doctors and vendors in the food service industry. Jennifer began her career at a major New York law firm, where her practice focused on corporate litigation and white-collar criminal defense.
