About Jarrod Smith

Jarrod Smith is a trial attorney focused on personal injury and civil rights law in Texas. A former associate judge and prosecutor, he previously served as an assistant district attorney at the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and clerked for the Harris County District Attorney's Office, the Harris County Public Defender's Office, and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Texas. He graduated from South Texas College of Law Houston cum laude, ranked in the top 20% of his class, and served as an assistant to the editor-in-chief of the South Texas Law Review. He holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston, where he graduated magna cum laude.

Jarrod has recovered millions of dollars for injured Texans in auto accidents, trucking collisions, and premises liability cases, and has handled thousands of criminal matters including DWI and sexual assault cases. He has been named a Texas Super Lawyer, an honor given to fewer than 2.5% of attorneys statewide, and holds a 10.0 Avvo rating. He also presents at legal conferences across Texas on litigation strategy. Jarrod is a native Texan and resides in Central Texas.
