Paul Stritmatter

Paul Stritmatter is a co-founding senior partner of the firm, where he has handled more than 1,000 plaintiff personal injury cases since beginning practice in 1969, including 80 cases that settled or went to verdict for over one million dollars each. After clerking for two Washington Supreme Court justices in 1969 and 1970, he built a plaintiff practice in Hoquiam, Washington that he and Keith Kessler formally launched together in March 1980. He established several significant points of Washington law, including the right of a spouse to sue for loss of consortium in Lundgren v. Whitneys, Inc., the unconstitutionality of the legislative cap on damages in Sofie v. Fibreboard Corp., and governmental roadway liability in Breivo v. City of Aberdeen. He earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Willamette University College of Law in 1969 and has carried an AV Preeminent Martindale-Hubbell rating since 1975.
