Richard Amico

Richard P. Amico is Chief Trial Counsel for The Barnes Firm in New York and California and Co-Chair of the firm's Labor Law Department, based in Rochester, NY. With more than three decades as a personal injury trial lawyer, he has focused his practice on representing people injured in construction accidents, motor vehicle crashes, and by defective products, winning numerous million-dollar verdicts and settlements. Recent results include a $5.75 million judgment in 2023, a settlement of more than $9 million in 2020, and a $24.6 million award in 2018 for serious injuries. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from SUNY Buffalo and his J.D. from the University of Buffalo Law School, beginning his legal career in 1989.
