About Emeka Igwe

Emeka Igwe is a graduate of Widener University School of Law and holds an LLM in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, prosecuting major felony cases including rape, attempted murder, robbery, burglary, possession with intent to deliver, and gun possession, as well as misdemeanors such as drug possession, DUI, and theft. He then worked at Allstate Insurance Company, where he never lost a jury trial and had several winning verdicts published in Verdict Search Magazine. As a former insurance defense attorney, he knows the strategies insurers and adjusters use to deny claims. New Castle County police officers shot and killed Lymond Moses, 30, in a Wilmington neighborhood on January 13, 2021. His sister sued the county in federal court as administrator of his estate. In July 2023, after summary-judgment briefing and before any trial, the county agreed to pay $1.05 million, with all claims against the officers dismissed and no admission of liability.
