Brett Turnbull

Brett Turnbull serves Of Counsel at The Russo Firm. With more than a decade of courtroom experience in complex litigation and over 70 jury trials to verdict, his practice covers car accidents, truck accidents, product liability, pediatric injuries, brain injuries, and nursing home malpractice.

Turnbull earned his B.S. in International Finance and B.A. in German from the University of Alabama, and his Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.

He is licensed in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Texas, with admissions to multiple federal courts including the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Courts of Claims.

He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Southern Trial Lawyers Association, the Alabama Association for Justice (Emerging Leaders Section Chair), the Alabama State Bar, and the Birmingham Bar Association.

He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America (2023), holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rating (2013-present), was named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, and has been selected as a Super Lawyer (2013-2022) and Super Lawyers Rising Star (2011-2012).

Recent jury verdicts include $21.5 million in total recoveries, with $9 million in product liability cases and $5 million in medical malpractice cases.
