Mason Olinde

Mason Olinde was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he graduated from Catholic High School. Following high school, he obtained his undergraduate degree in Finance at Louisiana State University. In 2024, Mason graduated Magna Cum Laude from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center with his Juris Doctor, Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law, and a Graduate Certificate in Estate Planning and Taxation. Mason is also a member of The Order of the Coif, which is a prestigious honor society for law school graduates.

He recently passed the bar in October 2024! During his time in law school, Mason received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Advanced Torts Litigation; Sales, Lease, and Advanced Obligations; Income Taxation I; Income Taxation II; Elder Law; and Gifts and Trusts. He was a four-time Paul M. Herbert Scholar and two-time Dean’s Scholar. Mason also served as a Graduate Editor of the Journal of Civil Law Studies while working as an academic tutor for Obligations, under Professor Moreteau.

One of the most impactful moments in Mason’s young career was a piece of advice one of his professors gave him at LSU Law. The professor told him to stop asking so many questions and simply trust himself and his work. After taking the advice, Mason obtained greater grades and top marks in his classes, which also translated to office assignments during his clerkship at Tomeny | Best. During law school, he clerked at defense firms and gained invaluable experience that he brings with him to Tomeny | Best.

Mason’s fondest memories at LSU Law are the times spent with friends. He considers his law school friends to be the most important asset he gained at LSU Law, as he believes they are people he knows well and can trust in times of uncertainty. His long-term career goals revolve around becoming an experienced trial advocate who specializes in personal injury. In his free time, Mason enjoys cooking or visiting his favorite restaurants around Baton Rouge and New Orleans, playing tennis, attending LSU football games, and spending time with his family, friends, and dog, Rosie.
