Tad Rice

Daniel (Tad) Rice was born in Mercedes, Texas. He earned his B.A. from Sam Houston State University and his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2000, where he competed in advocacy competitions and was a finalist in the Hofheinz Tournament of Champions. Tad began his career at a defense firm on catastrophic personal injury cases, later became a partner at a plaintiff's boutique litigation firm, then opened his own firm in 2014 and represented thousands of plaintiffs in products liability and catastrophic personal injury cases.

He has achieved numerous multi-million dollar settlements, several exceeding $10 million, in cases involving defective vehicles, airbags, seatbelts, tires, medical devices, gas and chemical storage, chemical explosions, electrocutions, and medical malpractice. He is licensed in Texas and all federal jurisdictions in Texas. Tad joined Abraham Watkins in 2026.
