Jay Dixon

Jay Dixon represents injured workers in claims for Workers' Compensation benefits before the Industrial Commission of Ohio and in Ohio's county and appellate courts. He also represents individuals in claims for Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income benefits before the Social Security Administration and in federal court. Born and raised in Lima, Ohio, Jay completed his undergraduate education at Ohio Northern University with a degree in journalism and criminal justice, working for the school's newspaper as a reporter and later as news editor and managing editor. He received his Juris Doctor from Capital University in Columbus in 2012, and while enrolled served as a staff member of the Capital University Law Review.

During law school, Jay interned at a crime victim's legal clinic, the federal public defender's office, the United States Attorney's office, and for U.S. District Court Judge Michael H. Watson. Jay serves as a Trustee for the Ohio Association for Justice and chairs the Workers' Compensation Committee for the Central Ohio Association for Justice. He previously chaired the Social Security Disability Committee for the Columbus Bar Association and has presented at continuing legal education seminars for the Ohio State Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association, and the National Business Institute. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, working in his yard, and rooting for the Buckeyes, Browns, and Guardians.
