About Jason W. Konvicka
A tireless advocate, Jason has built a distinguished career protecting personal injury victims for more than 30 years. His natural instincts as a trial lawyer and his determination to achieve justice for the injured have enabled him to achieve numerous record-setting jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. Jason currently serves as the President of the Allen Law Firm and the managing partner for the Richmond office. In addition to his record recoveries in the areas of medical malpractice, product liability, tractor-trailer crashes, and bus accidents, Jason's practice includes complex injury cases involving traumatic brain injury, hypoxic brain injury, spinal cord injury, dangerous premises, building and safety code violations, drunk driving wrecks, and wrongful death. He also has experience with class actions and mass torts and manages the firm's representation of victims of defective drugs and medical devices.
In 2016, Jason and partner Chris Guedri obtained a $42 million settlement for three men who were seriously burned and the family of one man who was killed as a result of a workplace explosion. This recovery was the largest personal injury settlement in Virginia that year. In 2014, Jason obtained a $22 million settlement on behalf of a boy who suffered paralysis and brain injuries in a crash with a dump truck. This recovery is one of the largest personal injury settlements in Virginia history involving a vehicular accident, according to Virginia Lawyers
Proven verdicts and settlements
A Hampton jury awarded Christopher Denton $25 million after a cardiologist read his cardiac test results as normal, diagnosed a minor heart infection, and sent him home on over-the-counter medication, months before Denton suffered a massive heart attack that left him functioning with roughly half his cardiac capacity.
A Fredericksburg jury awarded $6.5 million to a young attorney left with permanent spinal cord damage after his primary care physician repeatedly dismissed neurological symptoms without examination, producing what was then reported as the largest medical malpractice verdict in Virginia history. The award was reduced to $1.55 million under the state damages cap, and the judgment was later reversed on an evidentiary ruling, sending the case back for a retrial on causation and damages.
