John Shea

John C. Shea is a Partner at Marks & Harrison in Richmond, Virginia, focusing exclusively on representing injured plaintiffs. He concentrates on traumatic brain injury and tractor-trailer accident cases and has been in practice since 1977, joining Marks & Harrison upon admission to the bar.

Shea was named Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in 2012, the first Virginia personal injury attorney to receive that honor, and has been recognized in Best Lawyers for Personal Injury Litigation (Plaintiffs) and Product Liability Litigation (Plaintiffs) since 2005. He serves on the National Advisory Board of the Association of Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America.

Shea earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1977 and his undergraduate degree cum laude from Wake Forest University in 1974.
