About R. Kent Brown

R. Kent Brown is a veteran trial attorney whose career has produced numerous record-setting recoveries in North Carolina. In 1985, he obtained what was then the largest medical negligence recovery in North Carolina at $3 million. In 1992, he secured a $15.7 million personal injury jury verdict, the largest in North Carolina history at that time. In 2002, he recovered the largest road construction settlement in North Carolina history at $3.5 million.

The trial team at Brown Moore & Associates, led by Kent, obtained the largest contested personal injury verdict in North Carolina for 2015 with a $7.5 million jury verdict in a medical malpractice case. Kent holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized by the American Trial Lawyers Association and the National Trial Lawyers Association as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in America. He was admitted to the North Carolina bar in 1975 and has been a member of the firm in an of counsel capacity.
