Matthew Heape

Matthew has been with the firm for nearly a decade, representing clients across a broad spectrum of venues and claims. He has tried numerous cases to verdict as both first chair and assisting counsel, and has achieved numerous multi-million dollar settlements. Matthew attended Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and earned a double-major bachelor's degree, then obtained a Master's Degree in Education with certifications in English, History, and Science. He then attended the SMU Dedman School of Law while working full-time, serving on the SMU Law Review and graduating with honors in 2013.

He joined FCHC immediately after graduation. Born in New Orleans, Matthew now resides in Lubbock, Texas, with his wife and four children. Licensed in Texas and New Mexico.
