Russ was born and raised in Nacogdoches, TX. He played baseball at SFA and Texas Tech. Russ moved to Madisonville in 2011. He graduated from SLU with B.S. in Sports Management in 2013 and Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2017. Russ currently lives in Madisonville with his wife Mikayla, their daughter Ivy, and two dogs, Ace and Phoebe.
