Mitchell Horwitz

Mitchell W. Horwitz is a managing partner and head of the workers' compensation practice at Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates, where he has practiced since 1979. A third-generation member of the firm following grandfather Jacob W. Horwitz and father Andrew J. Horwitz, Mitch was born in Chicago and graduated from New Trier High School. He has dedicated his career to representing Illinois employees injured on the job, recovering millions in settlements and verdicts.

He was appointed by the Governor of Illinois to the Workers' Compensation Advisory Board to represent employee interests, and was named one of the Top 10 Workers' Compensation Lawyers in Illinois by Leading Lawyers magazine. He is admitted to both the Illinois Bar and the Florida Bar. He holds a B.A. in Accounting from Northern Illinois University (1976) and a J.D. with honors from The John Marshall Law School (1979).
