F. Boyd Hovde

F. Boyd Hovde was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 7, 1934. He was admitted to the Indiana bar in 1959 and in 1977 was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a graduate of Princeton University (B.A., 1956) and the University of Michigan School of Law (J.D., 1959), where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Indiana College of Trial Lawyers.

He served on the Indiana Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness from 1976 to 2000 and its Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure from 1980 to 1992. From 1984 to 1992, he served on the Board of Visitors of Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. He served as President of the Indianapolis Bar Association in 1979 and as President of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association in 1976-1977, and is a lifetime Director of that Association.
