Matt Harbin

Matt Harbin is a Partner at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, focused on workers' compensation law with more than 20 years of experience. He joined the firm in 2003 and was named Partner in 2008.

Harbin earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy (double major) cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1997 and his Juris Doctor from the UNC School of Law in 2000.

He is admitted to the North Carolina Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. He is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law and a Fellow of the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers.

His professional memberships include the 10th and 16th Judicial District Bar Associations, the American Association for Justice, the Workplace Injury Litigation Group, and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (Workers' Compensation Section Liaison).

His honors include selection to Best Lawyers in America for Workers' Compensation (2021-2026) and three NC Advocates for Justice Order of Service Awards (2017, 2018, 2019). He is based in Greensboro, North Carolina.
