Edgar Cortes

Edgar Cortes is an Associate Attorney at Malman Law in Chicago. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in May 2025 and his B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in International Studies, along with dual minors in Legal Studies and Criminology, Law, and Society, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2022. During law school, Edgar clerked in regulatory compliance and insurance defense roles for multinational companies and worked with the UIC Veterans Law Clinic, providing free legal assistance to veterans in the Chicagoland area. A native Spanish speaker, he uses his bilingual skills to ensure clear communication and help Spanish-speaking clients navigate complex legal challenges.
